Charity shop burgled

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a charity shop in Blyth.

It happened at Barnardo's on Waterloo Road in the Northumberland town in the early hours of Friday, October 28 between 00.33am and 1.48am.

An offender smashed the glass on the door to gain entry and stole several items including a Burberry jumper, a child's toy pushchair and two dolls.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.
