CCTV appeal after car theft in Crawcrook.

Between 5:30pm Friday, November 25, and 12:50am Saturday, November 26, a Nissan Qashqai was stolen from outside of an address in Beech Grove Terrace South.

The vehicle collided with the property wall before fleeing. It was also involved in a theft of petrol from Dunston filling station a short time later.

The Qashqai was found by police around 4:45am, Saturday morning, having been set on fire on St Omers Road in Dunston.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incidents and officers are releasing CCTV images of two men they want to identify and speak to about the incident.

They were in the area at the time and may be able to help with enquiries.
