In all three crimes offenders left without being seen. Police are treating all three offences as linked.

Neighbourhood Acting Inspector Garry Neill said: "We're asking people to be aware that these types of crimes are happening, two of them during the daytime, and all when offenders smashed glass, making a noise to commit burglary.

"We want to ask people to be vigilant in Cramlington and report any suspicious behaviour, especially any noise of glass breaking.

"We'd appeal for anyone who was in the areas at the relevant times where these burglaries have taken place to contact police if they have any information. Officers also want to hear from anyone who may be offered these items of stolen property for sale."

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 815 of 10/01/17 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
