Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a garage in Corbridge.

It happened between 11am on Sunday, January 15, and 8am on Monday, January 16, at a lock-up garage for Scott Nicholson Motor Services on Station Road in the Northumberland town.

Thieves forced open the roller shutter door causing a considerable amount of damage and stole a bright green Kawasaki quad bike with black trim model KFX700, and a large quantity of tools including:

a black wheeled toolbox with approx eight drawers, a black winch, black arc welder with mask, red CV boot spreader, red coloured spring compressor, stihl saw, red mig welder, orange small Husquvarna chainsaw, black generator with a Briggs and Stratton engine, blue air compressor, 3 x large 12V batteries, red coloured jack steel trolley, portable battery pack (12V), black Aldi drill and a portable heat lamp.

Neighbourhood Inspector Pam Bridges said: "We're appealing for help from the public to find those responsible for stealing a quad bike and a large quantity of tools used by a local Corbridge business.
We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the relevant time. It would have taken quite some time to steal all these items of tools and the quad bike. Thieves will also have had to use a vehicle to transport these stolen items from the area.

"If you saw a vehicle in the area at the time please give us a call. We'd also like to hear from anyone who may be asked to buy any of these stolen items."

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact police. Officers also want to speak to anyone who may be offered these stolen items for sale.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 181 of 16/01/17 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
