Police have arrested three people after an incident on a Metro in North Tyneside.
At around 5.45pm on Monday, January 17, police received a report of a fight on a Metro train at Wallsend Metro Station.
Officers attended and three males - aged 20, 20 and 16 - were all arrested on suspicion of affray. Nobody was injured during the incident.
The two 20-year-olds have been released on bail whilst the 16-year-old remains in police custody at this time.
Police are aware that a video has been shared widely on social media in which one of those involved can be seen spraying paint at one of the males.
This type of behaviour will not be tolerated on our transport networks and we know it causes distress to other members of the public.
There were a number of witnesses to this incident and we would encourage anyone who saw what happened to contact police.
