Appeal after collision in city centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Newcastle city centre.

At just before 7:45pm on Friday, December 16, a two car collision happened on the junction of Westmorland Road and Blandford Place, near to the Discovery Museum.

The cars involved were a burgundy coloured Ford Galaxy and a red Honda Civic. The Galaxy ended up on its roof in the street as a result of the collision.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either of the vehicles in the area before the collision to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1097 16/12/16.
