People living in Gateshead are being urged to get online and take part in a police meeting being held tomorrow night.

Inspector Cheryl Warcup, Sgt Warren Sturrock and PC Andy Hyde from the Gateshead West Policing Team will be running an online meeting between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday, February 2.

They will be answering questions about crime, disorder and ASB focusing on the Whickham, Crawcrook, Ryton and Chopwell areas and want to hear from residents from those areas about any concerns they have.

Inspector Cheryl Warcup said: "This online meeting covers the whole of the Gateshead West area and is the perfect opportunity for anyone living in the area to raise any concerns to police.

"You will be speaking direct to the most senior officers for the area and we would urge anyone with any issues they want to raise, or problems they want to discuss,to log in and take part.

"Running it between 6pm and 8pm means that people who work during the day can log on and take part, and the beauty of holding it online means that whether it's on your computer, your tablet or your phone, you can join in the discussion and ask any questions you want.

"You can remain anonymous and don't have to give any personal details to take part, we are really just interested in finding out what local peoples' issues are so we can do something about them.

"Please join us on Thursday evening. Speak to us and use the opportunity to have a say in how your local area is policed."

To take part in the meeting click this link shortly before 6pm. The Chat screen will then open up and begin at 6pm -
