Police donate laptops to Gateshead youth work charity.

Generous officers in the borough have donated two brand new laptop computers to the Jigsaw project.

The project is newly established in the Gateshead area and works with looked after children with complex needs who are offending or at risk of offending.

Officers are happy to back the project as they can see the benefits it will bring to young people in the area.

Gateshead Inspector Mick Robson said: "We are happy to support projects like Jigsaw as they can make real positive changes to local communities and young people in the area.

"We've donated the two laptops to the project to help the young people that Jigsaw work with improve their digital skills, prepare CVs and potentially help them gain employment.

"Hopefully we will all see the benefits of this donation and as a community feel the positive impact of the Jigsaw project in the area."

The money for the laptop computers came from the Police charity.
