Police in Gateshead are urging the public to 'make a date' and come and see them on Valentine's day.

Officers from the Gateshead West Policing Team are attending a public meeting at 7pm on Tuesday, February 14, at Ryton Social Club.

They will be there to speak to residents from the local and surrounding areas about setting up the biggest Neighbourhood Watch scheme in the borough.

Councillors from Ryton, Crawcrook, Greenside and Clara Vale will all be coming along and discussing plans around getting the scheme set up .

Anyone who is interested in the scheme and being part of it is urged to come along to the meeting and take part.

Our officers will be on hand to provide advice and information and to speak to local residents about any issues they might have.

We look forward to seeing you there!
