Police are appealing for information after two homes were burgled in Kingston park yesterday.

Around 10:30am on Monday morning (Feb 27) burglars broke into a home in Fawdon Walk. They smashed a conservatory window, got inside the house and stole an amount of jewellery.

Sometime between 8:10am and 5:55pm a house in Warwick Court was also broken into. This time the offender used a brick to smash a rear patio window and stole a number of computer games.

Officers are keeping an open mind as to whether the offences are linked and enquiries are ongoing.

Neighbourhood Inspector Pip Hails said: "Both of these burglaries have happened during the day when the occupants have been at work and on both occasions the burglars have smashed windows and doors to get inside the homes. Please report anyone you see hanging around homes during the day, looking in windows or acting suspiciously around neighbourhoods or peoples' homes. You could be preventing a burglar from striking."

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 847 27/02/17.
