Key witnesses sought at boy stabbed in Newcastle

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a 15 year old boy was stabbed in Newcastle.

Around 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday March 16) a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in Aldi supermarket on Edgefield Avenue in Kenton, Newcastle.

The injured 15-year-old has now been released from hospital and is recovering at home.

Enquiries are continuing and police are appealing for two key witnesses to come forward. It is believed that the men intervened during the incident and may have information that can help with enquiries.

A suspect remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
