Burglary in Newbiggin

Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Newbiggin.

It happened at an address in Cresswell House between 6pm and 7pm on Saturday, March 25. They stole property including an Apple iPod, two mobile phones, and camera equipment and some fireworks.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them and quote reference 1029 of 25/03/17.

Later the same evening at 8.16pm on Saturday, a firework was set alight which hit a window at an address in King Georges Road in Newbiggin. Youths were seen running towards the nearby skate park There have been other reports of fireworks being let off in the direction of Hunter's Lodge. Youths seen were teenagers aged approximately 15-16 years, one wearing black pants and a black and red top. Crime reference 1144 25/03/17.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the burglary and subsequent fireworks being set off. Anyone who can help with enquiries is asked to call police on 101 and quote the relevant reference number, or to ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
