Appeal after tools stolen in high value burglary in Newcastle

Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Newcastle.

Between 4.30pm on Friday, April 28, and 7.45am on Tuesday, May 2, an unknown individual has forced entry to the garage of a residential property on Westfield in Gosforth.

Builders have been working on the property in question and a several power tools belonging to them were stolen.

The equipment was worth around £4,000 and included a spit gun, a Bosh recipricator, a Makita drill, a Dewalt drill and a HILTI 500 breaker.

Police enquiries are ongoing to establish when the burglary was committed and identify the person responsible but they are now appealing for help from the public.

Officers want to hear from people in the area who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously, anyone who has been offered the tools in question or from anyone who has information about the burglary.
