Appeal after sexual assault in Newcastle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted in Newcastle on the Easter Weekend.

At around 4pm on Saturday, April 15, a 45-year-old woman was walking near to the Kingston Park Centre at Brunton Bridge when she was approached by a teenage boy.

He proceeded to touch her bum and tried to hug her at which point she shouted at him and he fled the scene.

Enquiries to identify the male are ongoign but police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen him in the area to get in touch.

He is described as white, around 17-years-old, with short dark hair and wearing a Maroon coloured top.
