Further appeal following Whitley Bay fatal collision

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a fatal collision in Whitley Bay on the A193 The Links, in North Tyneside.
It happened at 9.42pm on Sunday, May 7, when an 18-year-old male pedestrian died after being struck by a Renault Megane travelling south on the A193.
Two males who had been arrested in connection with the collision, have now been released pending further enquiries.
Officers investigating the collision are now are asking for any CCTV footage from homes or business premises, or from any motorists who may have dashcam style footage, of a Renault Megane and a Vauxhall Corsa car travelling from Blyth towards Whitley Bay around 9pm to the time of the collision at 9.42pm in the following areas:
North Tyneside (Shiremoor, North Shields, Monkseaton, Whitley Bay), and
Northumberland (Seaton Delaval, Seaton Sluice, Blyth - bottom end near the links).
Sergeant Steve Minnikin, from Northumbria Police Motor Patrols, said: "We are asking for help from the public to assist our enquiries into this fatal collision. Specifically we're asking for any CCTV footage that motorists may have captured when travelling in the area, or from homes or businesses who also may have had CCTV operating.
"Any footage of these two vehicles at the relevant time would be of interest to our enquiry."
