Assault in Blyth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a common assault in Blyth.

It happened at approximately 3.15pm on Wednesday, May 10, outside Kwik Fit on Cowpen Road.

A 32-year-old man was approached by a man and there was a verbal argument before the man assaulted him, grabbing him around the neck and left.

The offender is described as a white man, late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 11" tall, skinny build, short hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt, gloves, sunglasses and had a local accent.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact them.
