Sunderland burglar behind bars

A Sunderland burglar is behind bars after being sentenced to more than three years.
Ross Jenkins, 36 of No Fixed Abode, was jailed at Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday, October 18, for house burglary and shoplifting.
He was sentenced to 46 months - 40 months for each burglary to run concurrently and six months for each theft also to run concurrently.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Gosling said: “Burglary is an absolute priority for us and we will not stop at our efforts to put burglars behind bars and are pleased at this sentence and that yet another burglar is off the streets for a considerable amount of time.”
