We are appealing for information after a robbery at a Domino's store in Newcastle.

At around 11.50pm last night three men entered the Domino's store on Station Road in South Gosforth.

They threatened staff members with what is believed to be a small axe and demanded they hand over cash from the till.

They then fled the store with around £500. One of the men headed in the direction of South Gosforth Metro station while two of the men fled towards the Hadricks Mill roundabouts.

Thankfully none of the staff were injured during the incident but they were left very shaken by what happened.

Detectives are today hunting for those responsible and are now appealing for anyone who may have information to get in touch.

The men are described as aged in their mid 20s, wearing tracksuits and with scarves covering their faces. One of the men was described as being around 6ft4in.

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident, or have information that may assist police, then call officers on 101 quoting log 1270 20/11/17 or ring Crimestoppers to report anonymously on 0800 555 111.
