Witness appeal after Blyth sex assault

Police investigating an incident of sexual assault are appealing for witnesses.
 
It happened on Renwick Road in Blyth on Saturday, October 21 at approximately 5pm when a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted. 
 
It is believed the occupants of a small white car parked near a car wash in the street, may have seen what appeared to be an altercation between the teenager and a man.
 
PC Chris Bell, said: "We're appealing for the occupants of this car to come forward as they may have information which could help our enquiries, they may have heard raised voices at the time.  If you were there, or know who was, then please call police."
 
Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything to contact police.
 
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting reference number 505 of 23/10/17 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
 
Following enquiries, a 35-year-old man has been reported for summons for sexual assault.
