CCTV appeal after robbery at a newsagents in Wallsend.

The robbery happened at about 6.40pm, Wednesday November 28, at Porter’s Newsagency on Station Road.

Two men went into the store with their faces covered and threatened the shopkeeper.

One of the men was carrying what is believed to be a knife. The men stole a cash register containing cash and a quantity of cigarettes.

The shopkeeper was left shaken but unhurt by the incident.
