Police appeal after assault in Wallsend

Police are appealing for information after an assault in Wallsend.

At about 3.45pm on December 12, police received a report that a 60-year-old woman had been assaulted walking her dog on a country path behind the Rising Sun Cottages.

The woman was approached by two women walking an Alsatian dog. The Alsatian attacked the victim’s dog which resulting in her asking for the other women’s contact information. One of the women then proceeded to push the victim to the floor then left the area, leaving the victim on the ground.

The victim suffered injuries and was left very distressed by the incident.

The suspect is described as being a teenager, 5ft 7in tall of medium build and wearing a grey parker style jacket.

The women with the suspect is described as between 40-50-years-old, 5ft 4in tall, stocky build with dark hair and was wearing a green/grey parker style jacket and dark trousers.
