CCTV appeal after sexual assault in Newcastle

Police, investigating an incident involving a sexual assault and an exposure, have released CCTV footage of a man they believe could assist with their enquiry.

At about 4.30pm on Tuesday, 16 January, police received a report of a sexual assault and exposure in Lexi, a clothing store on Clayton street, Newcastle.

An offender entered the shop and conversed with the victim by both talking to her, and via a language app on his mobile phone.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the incident and are appealing for the man pictured to get in contact.

He was in the area at the time and may have information that could help with the enquiry.
