Police are appealing for information after a burglary in South Tyneside

Northumbria Police are appealing for information after a burglary in South Tyneside.

At about 7.30pm on Thursday, February 8, police received a report that somebody had gained entry to a house on Mowbray Road, South Shields.

Entry was forced through the back gate, and then through the back patio doors.

Items totalling nearly £10,000 were taken in the incident, with some of the items holding very high sentimental value, including a locket belonging to the victim’s deceased mother.

The items stolen include:-

Breitling navigator watch, White and yellow gold men's wedding ring; the ring had alternating strips of white and yellow gold with a diamond per 3 strips, 40” Samsung LED TV, 300 Euros, Pandora bracelet with 6-8 charms, Silver Boss watch, Black Boss watch, Rose Gold Michael Kors watch, RM laptop with blue, green and yellow keyboard, RayBan aviators, Sparkling hearts Pandora ring, Forever hearts Pandora ring, Michael Kors sunglasses, Golf set including Missuno bag, tailor-made speed blades, 2 ball putter, GHD hair straighteners, Beats head phones, iPod headphones.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are now appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area to get in touch. They are also appealing for anyone who may have been offered similar items, including in second hand shops, to come forward.
