Appeal after fight in the street in Gateshead

Police are appealing for information after a brawl in the middle of a Gateshead street.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm on Sunday evening when police received a report that around 10 people were fighting on Clavering Road in Swalwell.
Emergency services attended and a 39-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries that were consistent with a stabbing.
Everyone else involved in the incident had fled the area.
Detectives are carrying out a number of inquiries and have already spoken to a number of people in the area.
However they are now appealing for anyone who hasn’t spoken to police to call officers on 101.
