Puppy stolen in burglary

tape-06_tcm4-102211 [View Full Size] Police are appealing for information after a puppy was stolen during a burglary in Newcastle.

The burglary happened at an address in Strathmore Crescent between 4pm and 7.20pm on Sunday January 18.

Burglars broke in and stole a white/brown seven week old King Charles Cavalier. A Sony Playstation and DVD were also stolen.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and asking any witnesses to get in contact.

Newcastle West Neighbourhood Inspector Alan Davison said: "Clearly the owner is distressed and desperate for the puppy to be returned and I would ask anyone who has any information about this burglary to contact us.

"If anyone saw any suspicious activity in Strathmore Crescent on Sunday afternoon, or has information about where the puppy is, then we want to hear from them."
