Appeal to trace woman after incident in Gateshead

Police are appealing for information after an incident at an address in Gateshead.

At around 8.15pm on Wednesday evening (March 29) police received a report of a fight at an address on Saltwell Road in Gateshead.

Officers attended and found that two women had got into a dispute with the occupants of the address.

During this dispute one of the women was assaulted and received a head injury before they both fled the scene. The injured woman was later treated at hospital and has since been discharged.

Officers have so far been unable to identify the second woman and are now appealing for anyone who may know her identity to come forward.

The woman may have also been injured during the incident and police need to speak with her to ensure her welfare and establish exactly what happened.

She is described as white, aged 30-35 years old, blonde curly hair in a ponytail and of a stocky build. She was pale faced with big hoop earrings and was wearing a white coat.

A 27-year-old man and two women - aged 24 and 36 - have been arrested by police in connection with the incident and bailed pending further police enquiries.
